Breweries, craft beers and beer flights oh my!
I’m no aficionado but I am a fan of beer. My typical top 3 go to beer choices usually are Dos Xxx’s Lager, Blue Moon and Shocktop…apparently I like beers that complement citrus wedges, lol.
I thought it would be great to highlight my newest and most current top 3 San Diego beers, I’ll rank them with my most favorite first!
Cali Creamin – Mother Earth Brewing Co.
One of our most popular beers ever, this light cream ale has a malty backbone thanks to some flaked corn and honey malt. A medium bodied cult classic, it is sure to woo the ladies, but also flavorful enough to satisfy the dudes. You’ll swear you were drinking a cream soda…but tricks are for kids. http://www.motherearthbrewco.com/on-tap/cali-creamin
Coronado Orange Ave. Wit – Coronado Brewing Co.
This So-Cal take on a traditional witbier honors Coronado’s main street, which is home to our brewpub and was once lined with orange trees. Bolstered by orange zest, coriander and orange blossom honey, it’s Belgium by way of Coronado. Expect a refreshing, light-bodied brew rife with citrus zing and a hint of earthy spice. http://coronadobrewing.com/beer/orange-ave-wit/
San Diego Nut Brown -San Diego Brewing Co. A dark smooth ale that is rich and satisfying. This beer has hints of caramel and roasted malts, which are accompanied with a combination of Willamette and Cascade hops. The best brown ale you’ll ever try! http://www.sandiegobrewing.com/our-beer/house-brews
