2021 Holiday Gift Guide by San Diego Food Girl

Have you been nice this year? Christmastime is one of my favorite times of the year, and with the pandemic, it feels a bit extra special! This is my 4th annual holiday gift guide and it’s always such a fun time for me to reflect back on some products that have enhanced my life over the last year, or that I’ve been gifted or gifted to someone else, and even a few things on my own wish list! So, let’s get into it!

I didn’t know how much I missed having an Oil Diffuser until I finally got a new one as a gift last year because I added it to my wish list! I love diffusing orange and citrus blends when I need a pick me up and some lavender when I need to chill out! It’s the perfect gift for the home or office. It has 7 colors and a timer, too!

Are you someone who needs multiple monitors for work, but don’t like being stuck in your home office? Take your multiple screens on the go with you now with this magnetized slide-out Portable Monitor that easily attaches to your laptop. Even better, you can flip it around for presentation mode.

I don’t know about you, but I live in a state of dehydration! 😩 Therefore, this year I’ve been working really hard on better hydration habits and this Water Tracking Bottle has been a visual lifesaver for me!

for the home

It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere right? Spruce up your home this year with a Wine Fridge for you or that wine lover in your life! I got mine just before Christmas last year, and I love my Newair fridge! It’s freestanding and can hold 43 bottles of wine at two different temperatures with its Dual Zone technology and convenient adjustable racks.

Do you realize how much time we spend in our beds? Maybe even a little more than ever before! When I’m snuggled into bed, I want to be super cozy and cool. This year I was turned on to bamboo sheets and I adore them! They’re organic, soft, and cool if you’re a warm sleeper. Upgrade your bedtime snuggles here!

Is it time for a new TV? Last year my bestie gifted me a new Toshiba Smart TV with a voice remote and a lot of the newer bells and whistles! I love the convenience of having all of my streaming services and all of my shows and movies on one TV.

You know that phrase that says something about reinventing the wheel? That’s how I felt about fans (like tower fans) up until I got a new Cooling Fan just before summer this year. I immediately fell in love with this fan and I wish I had found it sooner. Here are the three things I love most about it:

  1. It will efficiently cool down your space!
  2. It’s on wheels! I was able to move it around from room to room with ease.
  3. It has a remote!

Ok so with this next item, I’m just going to out myself: I am addicted to coffee! It’s not enough that I already have a Nespresso machine, and a coffee maker, but now I have a cold brew maker too! Say hello to the Toddy Cold Brew System brought to you via The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf! More cold brew lovers emerge every day, and this system made the whole process easy breezy! I also just got this Pour Over Bodum Coffee Maker that I can’t wait to try! Basically what I’m saying is…gifting coffee in any fashion is always a GREAT idea!

for funsies

Do you have a letterboard yet? They’re such a fun item to have at home for the holidays, celebrations, or for any other fun daily reminder or affirmation! Here are a few ways I’ve used mine over the last year.

Want to know the best $20 I spent in 2020? It was on My Critter Catcher! Yep, you heard that right! It’s a long handled bug catcher to get rid of any pesky unwanted spiders and creatures that invade your personal space with no invitation! Trust me, it’s a lifesaver! It’s funny and practical!

stocking stuffers

A luggage scale might be a silly thing to add to a holiday gift guide, but what I can tell you is that every single November when I’m starting to plan my cross-country flights, I wish that I had one! So this year, I finally remembered ahead of time and decided to gift it to myself! It would be a great stocking stuffer for that traveler in your life!

How perfect is this OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush? I keep this handy little gadget in my tech bag! It’s perfect to brush away all the dust and clean up any lingering debris.

What does every at-home barista need in their stocking this year? A Handheld Milk Frother, of course! I don’t know about the coffee lover in your life, but I’m an extra foam kinda gal! Matcha foam, pumpkin foam, salted caramel foam…the answer will always be YES, please!

from last year’s wish list

I’m happy to report that I’m loving my candle accessories! The Rose Gold Tools and Rechargeable Lighter have been a great addition to my coffee table tray! Plus, they’re super cute!

on my wish list

What’s on your wish list? Since the pandemic hit, I’m more into comfortable, convenient, and luxurious items to fill my space with. Starting on the left we have the Cup Cozy Pillow that will hold your coffee, water, phone, and remote when you’re working from bed or the couch! I can’t decide between the cheetah or the grey. Below that are these gorgeous blush pink Satin Pillowcases. I know I’m late to the party on these, but I’m here for it now! Last but not least, on the right is the infamous TikTok Desk Bike, which seems to be the most perfect marriage of “I’m not ready to go back to the gym yet…” and work from home life!

The following items are guilty pleasures all inspired by social ads; yay for great marketing! I’ll wait for anyone to try to convince me that the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes aren’t the single BEST Christmas treat that exists! This exclusive box was made for me! The lovely algorithms also showed me these stunning Rose Quartz Coasters from West Elm. Rose quartz is said to emit a vibration of love and joy and who wouldn’t want as much of that as possible?! Lastly, to know me is to know that anything cookie butter, is definitely a guilty pleasure for me! My perfect Balm Dotcom Trio includes cookie butter, mint, and birthday! Which three flavors would you pick?

Honestly, I hope you love these annual gift guides as much as I do! The holidays are more than just gifts, but at least now you can gift in style!

Wishing you all a happy month, happy holidays, and lots of quality time spent with the people you love and cherish the most! Until next year, be good, be kind, and be well!

Merry Christmas + Happy New Year!
